Charmian
Traynor, L.Ac, CMT, MTCM, specializes in Acupuncture and Swedish Massage. She received her
Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine with an emphasis in Five Element Acupuncture in 2009 from Five Branches University
in Santa Cruz. She also studied at Five Branches' sister college, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hongzhou, China.
In addition to being a Licensed Acupuncturist , Charmian Traynor is also a Licensed Massage
Therapist specializing in Swedish Therapeutic Massage. She earned her certification in massage therapy and polarity through
Cypress Health Institute in 2010.
Acupuncture improves circulation,
detoxifies the body, relieves pain and calms the mind. Charmian utilizes her in depth knowledge and
skills in Chinese Medicine, energy work and lifestyle counseling to provide the best patient care possible. She provides a
very relaxing treatment by combining techniques of light and deep massage with elements of Polarity and Reiki energy work. Five Branches University is continually rated as one of the best
Universities in the United States to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The Master's Degree
Program takes four years to complete and is 3300 hours of clinical and academic comprehensive study. In that
time the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner learns to diagnose and treat many diseases and disorders using TCM theory
and techniques. The program includes Acupuncture, Massage, Western Medicine, Herbology, and Nutrition.
